Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Alushta Museum of Local Lore for its friendly staff, engaging exhibits, and peaceful atmosphere, highlighting unique collections of postcards and decorations. However, a significant concern is the severe neglect of the Aluston Tower, the city's namesake, which lacks proper access and maintenance, prompting calls for its preservation.

"The museum is excellent, but now I'd like to write about the city's historical value, which the city's leadership ignores: the Aluston Tower, the only ancient structure in Alushta, from which the city itself takes its name.

There are no signs pointing to it, nor is there a proper road to the site, which is blocked on three sides by private homes. And the site is unlit and unmaintained. If you don't value the history of your city, how can you even talk about improving its quality of life?!

I sincerely request the management of the local history museum to pay attention to this problem and preserve Alushta's history and make it the heart of the city. Thank you :)

What I would suggest for consideration is building a road to the landmark, removing trash there (volunteers and those staying for 15 days can help), installing a fence and night lighting, installing signs throughout the city, and perhaps building a cafe nearby so people can enjoy refreshments in the summer in the city center near the ancient sites."
