What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The El Madania Cable Car offers stunning panoramic views of Algiers, a definite highlight that makes the journey worthwhile. However, some visitors have noted issues with cabin cleanliness and staff hospitality, which detract from the overall experience. Improvements in these areas would elevate it to a truly exceptional attraction.
"Good"
Rok Soo
"The experience was somewhat average.
Unfortunately, the treatment from some of the staff was subpar, and there was a clear lack of hospitality or guidance.
Inside the cabins, the glass wasn't clean, which made the cityscape unclear and made it difficult to capture the shots we'd hoped for.
However, the only real positive was the view from the arrival point: breathtaking panoramic views that made you forget the troubles of the past.
God willing, the level of service and cleaning will improve in the future, as the cable car has a significant tourist attraction and deserves more attention."
Hadjira Ladj merabet
"The cable car connects the city to Belouizdad. It is considered the first cable car in Algiers, having been in operation for the first time in 1956.
It overlooks the entire city of Algiers (Martyr's Monument, Hamma Garden, Belouizdad Port, Sofitel Hotel, Aurassi Hotel, Algiers Coast, the Algiers Highlands, etc.). It also houses the little-known Sidi Messaoud Mausoleum.
At the Madina station, there is an amusement park for children, while at the Belouizdad station, you'll find the Belouizdad popular market and cemetery."
