What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Plazhi i Vlorës offers beautiful coastal views and convenient amenities like free sunbeds, making it an attractive destination. However, many visitors note significant issues with litter and cleanliness in certain areas, detracting from the natural beauty. The Lungomare promenade is a highlight for walks and atmosphere, but some find the beach itself can be noisy and crowded.
"Most disgusting beach I’ve been to. The views are beautiful but the beach is covered in litter; plastic bottles bobbing around in the water, cigarette butts everywhere and nobody cares. Moreover, apparently raw sewerage is discharged into the water nearby! Albania needs to take better care of their environment, it’s a real shame for an otherwise beautiful country. If you want to swim, go further down south."

"Clear water and lots of open space, at times there’s lots of trash but the farther away from the city and closer to the camping area (northwards) the cleaner it is. It gets more wild and has areas without any buildings which is nice. There’s a few restaurants spread out along the beach. You can drive your car onto the beach. Good place to go for a run or exercise. It’s a nice contrast from lungomare where all the traffic drives by the smaller beach there. You can find some wild horses there and plenty of friendly street dogs. I spent a year in Vlore and for Europe (I’m from California) it has great weather. Slightly hot and humid summer. Winter is super mild with most days in winter are around 15 degrees, some days are 10 and a some are 20. Winter probably 1/2 to 2/5 of the days are sunny. Early to mid fall is wonderful, most days sunny and between 20-25 degrees. Late fall is also nice. Late spring and early summer are amazing times. Around 25 degrees and sunny.
Plus the locals are really nice people, and it’s an extremely safe city. Great place. This is definitely an ideal place for retirement or to start a family. Very clear water, and the water is pretty warm, especially in summer"

"A peaceful and beautiful place, great for a relaxing walk or for children to play safely. The atmosphere is calm, and there are some nice, affordable bars nearby. It’s not too crowded, which makes it perfect if you’re looking to unwind, and there’s plenty of parking space, which is very convenient. I really ejoyed my time there and would definitely go back again!"
