"There was a soldier in the era of the Eastern Roman Empire which were under the Emperor Justinian during the year 527-565. Emperor Justinian asked the well known soldier about any wish that he has he could grant him, so Komstandin Laboviti said that if The Emperor could build a church at his home town which was today’s Labova e Kryqit and it is 40 minutes drive from Gjirokastra, so he built it and since then the construction survived many wars and many different eras up until now at this age of time. The church was preserved at the year 2018 from me Ministry of Culture in Albania."
